The American Chemical Society (ACS), the SENCER Centers of Innovation Southwest and South, and Bellhaven University welcome you to Jackson, Mississippi and to our symposium with a theme of STEM Education in Mississippi: Issues and Innovations. Throughout a full-day of activities, we will focus on use of innovative and proven pedagogy to reduce barriers to learning, student success, and retention. Presenters include educators and administrators from throughout the country.

Kelley Bishop, MD is a family practitioner who has worked part-time as an assistant professor of Family Medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center for the past five years.  Prior to this, she worked in urgent care for 12 years.  She also worked for one year in a traditional family practice setting in Athens, Georgia.  She had completed her family medicine residency, where she was Chief Resident in her final year, at Emory Family Medicine.

Her interests include medical education, both graduate and undergraduate, as well as herbal medicine.  She also maintains a certification as a medical review officer, which allows her to certify drug screens.
