The American Chemical Society (ACS), the SENCER Centers of Innovation Southwest and South, and Bellhaven University welcome you to Jackson, Mississippi and to our symposium with a theme of STEM Education in Mississippi: Issues and Innovations. Throughout a full-day of activities, we will focus on use of innovative and proven pedagogy to reduce barriers to learning, student success, and retention. Presenters include educators and administrators from throughout the country.

Paul "Trey" Jones is currently  Director of Development of the Jackson Zoological Society and the Pastor of Emmanuel United Methodist Church.  Trey has over 17 years of leadership experience working in nonprofit organizations.  He has worked with the poor and down-trodden people of society and now works to protect defenseless and endangered wildlife in his work with the Jackson Zoological Park.  He has degrees from Mississippi College and Southwestern Theological Seminary and has been recognized for his work in nonprofits by the Mississippi Business Journal, the Mississippi Center for Nonprofits and others.   He lives in Clinton, Mississippi with his wife and children
